The driver of the defendant company's truck was distracted, lost control, swerved into oncoming traffic, and struck our client's ComEd van head-on. Our client sustained multiple severe internal injuries, nerve injuries and fractures. He was subsequently restricted in the work he could do. We represented him in suing for compensation and his wife in seeking compensation for loss of consortium. The defendant admitted liability and reached a $5.8 million settlement.
